"Joli cadeau de Noël pour les chantiers navals de Saint-Nazaire"
Adjectives ending in -al
Note the heading of this post. It's the title of an article from Libération this morning.
Un chantier naval is a dockyard. When we're talking about dockyards, in the plural that is, the adjective is navals.
French singulars ending in '-al', like marginal, commercial, etc, become marginaux, commerciaux. Not so with navals, however.
